Project #10: Making a clay animation DIY move!

Design and make a CLAYMATION video production of your DIY narrative document. The duration of the show should be 5 minutes or less.

Carefully plan the production using a storyboard with shooting script.

Ensure details are finalized regarding the :

  • script - including sound effects, and lead in/credit music
  • characters, mini-you, to present the show and maybe a cohost...your partner?
  • sound recording if any
  • props and set design

Create the required equipment, props etc. using folded paper, cardboard, marker drawings and clay

Test to ensure equipment is fully functional. Shoot the film / video footage. Evaluate results and reshoot if necessary. Edit to eliminate errors and create the desired effects eg. changes in pace, shot sequence. Add music and sound effects. Screen and enjoy!

Peer review, portfolio document

Now that you have:
Participated, Produced, and Perfected you will need to get feedback from a classmate before you Publish.
See Peer Review form HERE
Find someone to read your paper and provide you with comments that you may need to make your document stronger.
Once you have given and received this feedback, and made final changes to your document you will be ready to move to the claymation planning stage!

Project #3: Reflective writing on New Year goals

Objectives: Students identify and record strenghts, weaknesses, and set personal goals.

Activity:

What will you let go of from last year? What do you want to add to your life this year?

Please write a few paragraphs to tell us about it!

This is traditionally a time to let go of the past and set goals for the future, a time to give yourself a little extra push on something you may be thinking about changing. I like to do this because I believe that you have to let go of old things to make room for new things, get rid of negative energy to make room for the positive.

I am giving my apartment a new coat of paint. i didn't really think of it until now, but this is one thing that I've been meaning to do since last summer. My Feng Shui master friend says you should paint your walls every three years.

I think that working at WJPS has been a positive change that I made for myself in the last year because I think that the students and staff here are great. i look at Tuesday as a chance to start refreshed for the spring, letting go of the growing pains I may have felt in this new place, and looking at the future with excitement ready to grow some more. This is an opportunity to build a great tech community here ate WJP that will make my students and myself better citizens, of the school community, the PLS community, and the global community.

I became a certified Yoga teacher in 2006. In 2007 I want to visit my favorite places and see a whole new country that I have been meaning to get to: INDIA! If you can advise me on where to stay or what to do please send me comments!

I will have to write to get to India. I will be asking for a fellowship so I have to do some research and be persuasive about why I should get my trip sponsored. I will have to write about what I will do there and how it will make me a better teacher. I definitely want to take lots of pictures, and video footage to show my students for art class and tech class to help them with philosophy and global studies.

Project #2:Vactation Plans

Please describe what it is like at WJPS so others in our GLOBAL community know where we're coming from. You can describe it objectively or subjectively, as discussed in class. :-)
